ISRO ने धरती पर गिराया 1000 किलो वजनी मेघा-ट्रॉपिक्स-1 सैटेलाइट, जानें क्यों किया ऐसा

India Crashing  Satellite: भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) ने मेघा-ट्रॉपिक्स-1 सैटेलाइट को डिऑर्बिट कर  मंगलवार शाम को नियंत्रित तरीके से धरती पर गिरा दिया. इस सैटेलाइट का वजन एक हजार किलोग्राम के करीब बताया जा रहा है.

इसे 12 अक्टूबर 2011 को जलवायु परिवर्तन की स्टडी के लिए लॉन्च किया गया था. इसरो और फ्रांस की स्पेस एजेंसी CNES ने इसे मिलकर लॉन्च किया था. इसे लॉन्च करते समय अनुमान लगया गया था कि ये ज्यादा से ज्यादा तीन साल काम करेगा, लेकिन भारत के मौसम और जलवायु परिवर्तन पर मिल रही अहम जानकारी को देखते हुए इस समय को बढ़ा दिया गया. इसने एक दशक तक मौसम को लेकर भारत को जानकारी दी.
