Indian Web Browser: इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय ने बुधवार को घोषणा की कि "दुनिया के लिए" एक स्वदेशी भारतीय वेब ब्राउज़र बनाने में मदद करने वाले डेवलपर्स को ₹3.4 करोड़ की नकद पुरस्कार राशि दी जाएगी. यानि अब भारत खुद का ब्राउजर लाना चाह रहा है, जो Google के Chrome और Firefox को देगा कड़ी टक्कर देगा.
जुलाई 2014 में, विंडोज़ जैसे ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम और Google Chrome और फ़ायरफ़ॉक्स के लिए वेब-ब्राउज़र डेवलपर्स ने अपने 'रूट स्टोर' में भारत के CCA पर भरोसा करना बंद कर दिया, जो कि विश्वसनीय रूट प्रमाणित अधिकारियों का एक भंडार है.
