सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने तमिलनाडु सरकार के उस कानून को वैध करार दिया है, जिसमें जलीकट्टू को एक खेल के तौर पर मान्यता दी गई है.
सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने तमिलनाडु सरकार के उस कानून को वैध करार दिया है, जिसमें जलीकट्टू को एक खेल के तौर पर मान्यता दी गई है. कोर्ट ने कहा है कि तमिलनाडु का जानवरों के साथ क्रूरता कानून (संशोधन), 2017 जानवरों को होने वाले दर्द और पीड़ा को काफी हद तक कम कर देता है.
सुप्रीम कोर्ट महाराष्ट्र और कर्नाटक की सरकारों द्वारा जानवरों से जुड़े खेलों की अनुमति देने वाले समान कानूनों की वैधता की भी अनुमति दी.
