देश में 5जी की शुरुआत के बाद से मोबाइल स्पीड में 3.59 गुना वृद्धि देखी गई है. औसत डाउनलोड स्पीड सितंबर 2022 में 13.87 MBPS था, जो बढ़कर अगस्त 2023 में 50.21 MBPS हो गई.
Global Mobile Speed Ranking: भारत ने 5जी सेवाओं की शुरुआत कर मोबाइल डाउनलोड स्पीड में नया मुकाम हासिल किया है. ब्रॉडबैंड और मोबाइल इंटरनेट नेटवर्क की गति की जानकारी देने वाली कंपनी ओकला के अनुसार देश 'स्पीडटेस्ट ग्लोबल इंडेक्स' में 72 पायदान चढ़कर 47वें स्थान पर पहुंच गया है.
भारत बांग्लादेश, श्रीलंका और पाकिस्तान जैसे अपने पड़ोसियों से आगे है इसके अलावा मेक्सिको (90वां), तुर्की (68वां), ब्रिटेन (62वां), जापान (58वां), ब्राजील (50वां) और दक्षिण अफ्रीका (48वां स्थान) से भी आगे है.
