पश्चिम बंगाल: बीरभूम हिंसा मामले (Birbhum Violence Case) में सीबीआई (CBI) ने सशस्त्र दंगों के संदिग्ध अपराध पर प्राथमिकी में धारा 147, 148, 149 और अन्य धाराओं के तहत 21 नामजद आरोपियों के खिलाफ केस दर्ज किया है. बीरभूम जिले के रामपुरहाट में कथित रूप से TMC के एक पंचायत नेता भादू शेख की हत्या कर दी गई थी, जिसके बाद 21 मार्च को पूरे जिले में हिंसा भड़क गई थी. कुछ लोगों की भीड़ ने आम लोगों के घरों में आग लगा दी, जिसमें 8 लोगों की मौत हो गई. मरने वालों में 3 महिलाएं और 2 बच्चे भी शामिल हैं.
