MCD Mayor Election: दिल्ली मेयर चुनाव में वोट नहीं डाल सकेंगे नॉमिनेटेड मेंबर्स, चुनाव पर SC का फैसला

नई दिल्ली: दिल्ली नगर निगम के मेयर और डिप्टी मेयर के चुनाव को लेकर शुक्रवार (17 फरवरी) को सुप्रीम कोर्ट (Supreme Court) में सुनवाई हुई. आप नेता डॉ. शैली ओबेरॉय ने चुनाव में मनोनीत सदस्यों को मतदान करने की अनुमति देने के एलजी के फैसले को चुनौती दी थी. साथ ही जल्द चुनाव कराने की मांग की थी. सुप्रीम कोर्ट से आप (AAP) को राहत मिली है और उनकी दोनों प्रमुख मांगें मानी गई हैं. चीफ जस्टिस (CJI) ने कहा कि हम निर्देश देते हैं कि पहली बैठक में मेयर का चुनाव हो. इस चुनाव में मनोनीत सदस्य वोट न दें.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट (Supreme Court) ने याचिका पर बड़ा फैसला देते हुए कहा कि मेयर चुनाव में राज्यपाल द्वारा मनोनीत 10 पार्षद वोट नहीं करेंगे. कोर्ट ने कहा, मेयर के चुनाव के लिए पहली मीटिंग के लिए 24 घंटे में नोटिस जारी किया जाए. नोटिस में मेयर चुनाव और अन्य चुनाव की तारीख बताई जाए.
