पिछले साल अक्टूबर में गूगल ने ऐलान किया था कि उनके प्रमुख Pixel फोन अब भारत में बनेंगे. और अब ये खबर आ रही है कि नोएडा की प्रमुख इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स विनिर्माण कंपनी Dixon Technologies Pixel 8 को बनाएगी!
इसका मतलब है कि गूगल का सबसे लोकप्रिय स्मार्टफोन सीरीज अब भारत में ही बनाया जाएगा, जिससे देश में रोजगार और उत्पादन बढ़ेगा. शुरुआती तौर पर Dixon Technologies हर साल 12 लाख Pixel 8 फोन बनाएगा. लेकिन जैसे-जैसे मांग बढ़ेगी, उत्पादन क्षमता भी बढ़ाई जाएगी.

इससे पहले भी गूगल ने अपने Pixel 7 फोन को भारत में बनाने की योजना बनाई थी. अब Pixel 8 के भारत में बनने की खबर से ये साफ हो गया है कि गूगल भारत में अपने उत्पादों के निर्माण को लेकर कितना गंभीर है. ये कदम भारत सरकार के 'मेक इन इंडिया' कार्यक्रम को भी बढ़ावा देगा. इससे भारत में स्मार्टफोन विनिर्माण क्षेत्र को बढ़ावा मिलेगा और देश में तकनीकी विकास और रोजगार के नए अवसर पैदा होंगे.
