कलकत्ता हाईकोर्ट ने एक जनहित याचिका को खारिज कर दिया है, जिसमें यह निर्देश देने की मांग की गई थी कि किसी भी मुस्लिम महिला को वयस्क होने या 12वीं कक्षा पूरी करने तक शादी करने की अनुमति नहीं दी जानी चाहिए.
कलकत्ता उच्च न्यायालय ने एक जनहित याचिका को खारिज कर दिया है जिसमें यह निर्देश देने की मांग की गई थी कि किसी भी मुस्लिम महिला को वयस्क होने या 12वीं कक्षा पूरी करने तक शादी करने की अनुमति नहीं दी जानी चाहिए. मुख्य न्यायाधीश टीएस शिवगणनम की अगुवाई वाली पीठ ने कहा कि सरकार को विवाह को प्रतिबंधित करने के लिए कानून बनाने का ऐसा कोई आदेश नहीं दिया जा सकता.
