शहूर कथक नर्तक पंडित बिरजू महाराज का 83 वर्ष की उम्र में आज दिल्ली में उनका निधन हो गया. उनके निधन के बाद रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह समेत कई नेताओं ने दुख जताया है.
Pandit Birju Maharaj Passes Away: मशहूर कथक नर्तक (Kathak Dancer) पंडित बिरजू महाराज का 83 वर्ष की उम्र में आज दिल्ली में उनका निधन हो गया. बताया जा रहा है कि रविवार रात उनकी तबियत बिगड़ने के बाद उन्हें अस्पताल में भर्ती करवया गया था. जहां इलाज के तुरंत बाद उनका निधन हो गया. उनके निधन के बाद रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह समेत कई नेताओं ने दुख जताया है. रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने लिखा, ‘पंडित बिरजू जी महाराज भारत की कला और संस्कृति के प्रवर्तक थे. उन्होंने कथक नृत्य के लखनऊ घराने को दुनिया भर में लोकप्रिय बनाया. उनके निधन से गहरा दुख हुआ है. उनका निधन कला जगत के लिए एक अपूरणीय क्षति है. उनके परिवार और प्रशंसकों के प्रति संवेदना.’
