Afghanistan Earthquake: अफगानिस्तान में बुधवार को आए भूकंप के तेज झटके के चलते करीब 950 लोगों की मौत हो गई है. वहीं करीब 600 लोग जख्मी हुए हैं. भूकंप के ये झटके पाकिस्तान में भी महसूस किये गए थे. रिक्टर स्केल पर भूकंप की तीव्रता 6.1 मापी गई थी.
पाकिस्तान मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (पीएमडी) के अनुसार, भूकंप का केंद्र अफगानिस्तान में खोस्त से 44 किलोमीटर दूर दक्षिण-पश्चिम में 50.8 किलोमीटर की गहराई पर था. भूकंप देर रात स्थानीय समायानुसार एक बजकर 54 मिनट पर आया. एक अधिकारी ने बताया कि "मृत्यु का आंकड़ा बढ़ने की संभावना है क्योंकि कुछ गांव पहाड़ों में दूरदराज के इलाकों में हैं और विवरण एकत्र करने में कुछ समय लगेगा."
