भारतीय पुरुष क्रिकेट टीम पर हैदराबाद के राजीव गांधी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्टेडियम में पहले वनडे में न्यूजीलैंड के खिलाफ धीमी ओवर गति बनाए रखने के लिए मैच फीस का 60 प्रतिशत जुर्माना लगाया गया है. ICC के बयान के अनुसार, " अमीरात ICC एलीट पैनल के रेफरी जवागल श्रीनाथ द्वारा भारत के अपने लक्ष्य से तीन ओवर कम फेके जानें के कारण यह निर्णय पर पहुंचने से पहले समय पर विचार किया गया था." परिणामस्वरूप, भारत पर भारी जुर्माना लगाया गया भारतीय टीम कल 21 जनवरी को दूसरे वनडे में न्यूजीलैंड के खिलाफ शहीद वीर नारायण सिंह अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्टेडियम, रायपुर में खेलेगी.
