नीलगिरी: मुदुमलाई टाइगर रिजर्व के फील्ड डायरेक्टर डी वेंकटेश कहते हैं, "पिछले 40-45 दिनों में, नीलगिरी परिदृश्य में विभिन्न स्थानों पर 4 वयस्क बाघ और 6 बाघ शावकों की मौत हो गई... एमराल्ड क्षेत्र में दो वयस्क बाघों को जहर दे दिया गया. नीलगिरि वन प्रभाग... हमें एक प्रयोगशाला रिपोर्ट भी मिली है. एक आरोपी को भी गिरफ्तार किया गया है... हमने 6-7 स्थानों पर समान पदचिह्न भी देखे हैं. हम क्षेत्र की गहन निगरानी कर रहे हैं... कुल मिलाकर, 40 स्थानों पर हम हमने सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगाए हैं और हम हर 4-5 दिन में कैमरों की निगरानी कर रहे हैं..."
