Odisha Train Accident Death Toll: ओडिशा ट्रेन हादसे के बाद सियासत भी गरमा गई है. शनिवार को पश्चिम बंगाल की सीएम ममता बनर्जी घटनास्थल का जायजा लेने पहुंचीं. उन्होंने रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव और केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान के साथ प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस की. इस दौरान ममता ने 500 से ज्यादा मौतें होने की आशंका जताई. हालांकि, ममता के दावे पर तुरंत रेल मंत्री वैष्णव ने आपत्ति जताई और कहा, आधिकारिक आंकड़ा सामने है. मरने वालों की संख्या 238 की पुष्टि हुई है. वहीं देर शाम तक मरने वालों की संख्या 288 तक पहुंच गई है.

रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कहा, "... हम पूरी पारदर्शिता चाहते हैं, यह समय राजनीति करने का नहीं है,  इस वक्त ध्यान केंद्रित करें कि बहाली जल्द से जल्द हो."
