50th CJI: भारत के 50वें मुख्य न्यायाधीश बनें जस्टिस डीवाई चंद्रचूड़, राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने दिलाई शपथ
सुप्रीम कोर्ट के जज DY चंद्रचूड़ (Justice DY Chandrachud) आज भारत के 50वें मुख्य न्यायाधीश के तौर पर शपथ ले चुके हैं. राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने सुबह 10:00 बजे राष्ट्रपति भवन में न्यायमूर्ति चंद्रचूड़ को भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश के पद की शपथ दिलाई.
जस्टिस चंद्रचूड़ का कार्यकाल 10 नवंबर, 2024 तक होगा. जस्टिस चंद्रचूड़ के पिता जस्टिस वाई वी चंद्रचूड़ 2 फरवरी 1978 से 11 जुलाई 1985 तक भारत के 16वें मुख्य न्यायाधीश थे. 11 नवंबर 1959 को जन्में जस्टिस चंद्रचूड़ को 13 मई 2016 को सुप्रीम कोर्ट का जज नियुक्त किया गया था. वह 31 अक्टूबर, 2013 से सुप्रीम कोर्ट में नियुक्ति तक इलाहाबाद उच्च न्यायालय के मुख्य न्यायाधीश थे.
