एक अस्पताल में अपनी पत्नी की जांच के दौरान कथित तौर पर उसके साथ दुर्व्यवहार करने के लिए डॉक्टर के साथ मारपीट करने के आरोपी एक व्यक्ति को हाल ही में केरल हाई कोर्ट द्वारा अग्रिम जमानत देने से इनकार कर दिया गया. जस्टिस ए बदरुद्दीन ने इस घटना पर गंभीरता से विचार किया. उन्होंने कहा, अगर कोई मरीज डॉक्टर द्वारा चिकित्सकीय परीक्षण के दौरान उसे छूने से परेशान होता है तो इस तरह एक डॉक्टर के लिए अपने पेशे को आगे बढ़ाना मुश्किल होगा. केरल हाईकोर्ट ने कहा कि डॉक्टर मरीज को छुए बिना इलाज नहीं कर सकते हैं.
