Supreme Court On Same Sex Marriage: समलैंगिक विवाह को कानूनी मान्यता देने के अनुरोध वाली याचिकाओं पर सोमवार सुप्रीम कोर्ट में सुनवाई हुई. केंद्र सरकार ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में समलैंगिक विवाह को मान्यता देने वाली याचिका का विरोध किया है. सुनवाई के दौरान सरकार ने कहा कि समान सेक्स संबंध कहते हैं, "भारतीय परिवार की पति, पत्नी और संघ से पैदा हुए बच्चों की अवधारणा से तुलना नहीं की जा सकती". चीफ जस्टिस डी. वाई. चंद्रचूड़, जस्टिस पी. एस. नरसिम्हा और जस्टिस जे. बी. पारदीवाला की बेंच ने इस मामले की सुनवाई की.
