Apple Fined For No Charger: बिना चार्जर के iPhone बेचना एप्पल को पड़ा भारी, कोर्ट ने लगाया 19 मिलियन डॉलर का जुर्माना

ब्राजील के कोर्ट ने गुरुवार को बिना चार्जर के iPhones बेचने पर क्यूपर्टिनो स्थित Apple पर 20 मिलियन (दो करोड़) डॉलर का जुर्माना लगाया. साथ ही कोर्ट ने आईफोन के साथ चार्जर न देने के कदम को Abusive practice करार दिया. अदालत ने कहा कि यह प्रैक्टिस ग्राहकों को एक अतिरिक्त प्रोडक्ट खरीदने के लिए मजबूर करती है.

रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक कंपनी अदालत के फैसले के खिलाफ अपील करेगी. कंपनी का कहना है कि वह इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स कचरे को कम करने में मदद करना चाहती है. इसलिए वह चार्जर नहीं दे रही है.

गौरतलब है कि हाल ही में ब्राजील के न्याय मंत्रालय ने इसी मुद्दे पर ऐपल पर लगभग 2.5 मिलियन डॉलर का अलग जुर्माना लगाया था और यूएस टेक दिग्गज को अपने iPhone 12 और 13 मॉडल को बिना चार्जर के बेचने से रोक दिया था. मंत्रालय ने कहा था कि बॉक्स में चार्जर न देकर ऐपल ग्राहकों को अधूरा प्रोडक्ट मुहैया करा रही है.
