Ranji Trophy 2023-24: पटना में रणजी ट्रॉफी सीज़न की असामान्य शुरुआत हुई, मोईन उल हक स्टेडियम में मैच से पहले बिहार की दो टीमें मुंबई के खिलाफ खेलने के लिए पहुंची, बिहार क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन (बीसीए) के दो गुटों के बीच की लड़ाई मैदान तक पहुंच गई, खेल की शुरुआत में अधिकारियों के बीच तीखी नोकझोंक और मामूली झड़प हुई. आख़िरकार, स्थानीय पुलिस के हस्तक्षेप के कारण बिहार-मुंबई सीज़न-ओपनर सुबह लगभग 11 बजे शुरू हो सका. सुबह-सुबह मैदान पर पहुंची दो टीमों में से बीसीए अध्यक्ष राकेश तिवारी द्वारा चुनी गई टीम ने मैच खेला. दूसरे टीम को सचिव अमित कुमार का साथ था, जिसे बैकऑफ होना पड़ा. दोनों टीमों में एक भी क्रिकेटर का नाम नहीं रखा गया.
