कर्नाटक: उडुपी हिजाब विवाद के खिलाफ कांग्रेस विधायक कनीज फातिमा और उनके समर्थकों ने विरोध प्रदर्शन किया. उन्होंने कहा, "लड़कियों का उत्पीड़न किया जा रहा है. परीक्षा से 2 महीने पहले स्कूलों में उनके प्रवेश से वंचित किया जा रहा है, इसलिए सभी जाति और धर्म के लोग डीसी कार्यालय, कालाबुरागी में एकत्र हुए हैं'. हम हिजाब के रंग में बदलाव के लिए तैयार हैं ताकि इसे स्कूल यूनिफ़ॉर्म के साथ जोड़ा जा सके लेकिन हम इसे छोड़ नहीं सकते. मैं विधानसभा में भी हिजाब पहनती हूं, अगर वे रोक सकते हैं तो वे मुझे रोकें. सीएम के पास जाएगा ज्ञापन और हम बाद में उडुपी में विरोध करेंगे: कांग्रेस विधायक कनीज फातिमा
