Punjab: कोर्ट ने CM चन्नी के भतीजे हनी को 11 फरवरी तक ED की हिरासत में भेजा, अवैध खनन केस में हुई है गिरफ्तारी

8 फरवरी: पंजाब (Punjab) के मुख्यमंत्री चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी (CM Charanjit Singh Channi) के भतीजे भूपिंदर सिंह हनी (Bhupinder Singh alias Honey) 11 फरवरी तक प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) की हिरासत में रहेंगे. एजेंसी ने उन्हें अवैध रेत खनन मामले में गिरफ्तार किया था.

ईडी ने सोमवार को दावा किया था कि पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी के गिरफ्तार भतीजे भूपिंदर सिंह उर्फ ​​हनी  ने स्वीकार किया है कि उसे रेत खनन कार्यों को लेकर अधिकारियों के ट्रांसफर या पोस्टिंग के बदले में 10 करोड़ रुपये नकद प्राप्त हुए थे.

भूपिंदर सिंह को3 फरवरी को जालंधर में ईडी ने हिरासत में लिया था. ED ने हनी और अन्य के खिलाफ छापेमारी में करीब 7.9 करोड़ रुपये नकद और एक अन्य व्यक्ति संदीप कुमार से लगभग 2 करोड़ रुपये नकद जब्त किए थे. चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी को कांग्रेस ने सीएम का चेहरा (face of CM) घोषित किया है. इस मुद्दे को लेकर चन्नी पहले ही विपक्षी राजनीतिक दलों के निशाने पर हैं.
