Srinagar Jama Masjid: जम्मू-कश्मीर के श्रीनगर में जामा मस्जिद को बंद करने पर मीरवाइज उमर फारूक ने कहा- कश्मीर की सबसे बड़ी मस्जिद को बिना किसी कारण के बंद कर दिया गया है. मुझे चार साल बाद (नजरबंदी) से रिहा कर दिया गया, लेकिन मैं केवल कुछ शुक्रवार को ही (मस्जिद में) नमाज अदा कर सका. मुझे समझ नहीं आ रहा कि मेरी स्थिती क्या है? मैं चाहता हूं कि माननीय उच्च न्यायालय इस पर ध्यान दे.'
