GST On Hostel Rent: हॉस्टल-पीजी में रहने वालों को बड़ा झटका, अब किराए पर लगेगा 12% जीएसटी
हॉस्टल और पीजी में रहने वालों को अब जेब और ढील करनी पड़ेगी. हॉस्टल के किराए पर अब 12 फीसदी GST लगेगा, जिसके चलते छात्रों को अब अधिक भुगतान करना होगा.
GST on Hostel-PG Rent: हॉस्टल (Hostel) और पीजी (PG) में रहने वालों को अब जेब और ढील करनी पड़ेगी. हॉस्टल के किराए पर अब 12 फीसदी जीएसटी (GST) लगेगा, जिसके चलते छात्रों को अब अधिक भुगतान करना होगा. अथॉरिटी फॉर एडवांस रूलिंग्स (AAR) ने दो अलग-अलग मामलों में यह फैसला दिया. एएआर की बेंगलुरु पीठ ने कहा कि छात्रावास, आवासीय इकाइयों के समान नहीं हैं और इसलिए उन्हें गुड्स एंड सर्विसेज टैक्स (GST) से छूट प्राप्त नहीं है. एएआर ने कहा कि जीएसटी छूट 17 जुलाई, 2022 तक होटल, क्लब, कैंपसाइट आदि द्वारा प्रदान की जाने वाली आवास सेवाओं पर प्रति दिन 1,000 रुपये तक के शुल्क पर लागू थी.
