नई दिल्ली, 15 जनवरी: प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी (PM Narendra Modi) ने सेना दिवस के मौके पर सैनिकों और उनके परिवार को शुभकामनाएं और बधाईयां दीं है. पीएम मोदी ने आर्मी डे के अवसर पर कई तस्वीरें शेयर की हैं. पीएम मोदी ने ट्वीट करते हुए कहा, "सेना दिवस के अवसर पर हमारे साहसी सैनिकों और उनके परिवारों को शुभकामनाएं. भारतीय सेना अपनी बहादुरी और जांबाज अंदाज के लिए जानी जाती है. राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा की दिशा में भारतीय सेना के अमूल्य योगदान को शब्दों में बयां नहीं कर सकते. भारतीय सेना के जवान प्रतिकूल इलाकों में सेवा करते हैं और प्राकृतिक आपदाओं सहित मानवीय संकट के वक्त लोगों की मदद करते हैं. सेना के शानदार योगदान पर भारत को गर्व है.

इस साल भारतीय सेना अपना 74 वां सेना दिवस मना रही है. 15 जनवरी 1949 को फील्ड मार्शल केएम करियप्पा ने भारतीय सेना की कमान आधिकारिक रूप से ली थी. उनके सम्मान में ही सेना दिवस मनाया जाता है. सेना की कमान लेने के बाद फील्ड मार्शल केएम करियप्पा भारतीय आर्मी के पहले कमांडर इन चीफ बने थे.
सशस्त्र बलों के प्रमुख जनरल मनोज मुकुंद नरवणे (सेना), एयर चीफ मार्शल वीआर चौधरी (वायु सेना), और एडमिरल आर हरि कुमार (नौसेना) ने सेना दिवस के मौके पर दिल्ली में राष्ट्रीय युद्ध स्मारक पर जवानों को सलाम किया.
