HP Elections 2022: स्वतंत्र भारत के प्रथम मतदाता 106 वर्षीय श्याम सरन नेगी ने डाक मतपत्र के जरिए 14वीं विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए डाला वोट
हिमाचल प्रदेश विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए देश के प्रथम मतदाता 106 वर्षीय श्याम सरन नेगी ने अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग किया. नेगी ने बुधवार को पहली बार किन्नौर के कल्पा में अपने घर से पोस्टल बैलेट से मतदान किया.
Himachal Pradesh Elections 2022: हिमाचल प्रदेश विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए देश के प्रथम मतदाता 106 वर्षीय श्याम सरन नेगी ने अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग किया. नेगी ने बुधवार को पहली बार किन्नौर के कल्पा में अपने घर से पोस्टल बैलेट से मतदान किया. स्वास्थ्य कारणों के चलते उन्होंने घर से वोट देने का फैसला लिया था. इस दौरान जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी एवं उपायुक्त किन्नौर आबिद हुसैन सादिक भी मौजूद रहे.
बता दें कि 80 वर्ष से अधिक के पात्र लोगों, दिव्यांगों को भी सुविधा प्रदान की गई है. चुनावी ड्यूटी पर तैनात कर्मचारी भी डाक से मतदान कर सकेंगे. बीते चुनाव में श्याम सरन नेगी को चुनाव आयोग ने ब्रांड एंबेसडर भी बनाया था.
