Ripudaman Singh Malik Shot Dead: 1985 में कनिष्क एयर इंडिया बम विस्फोट के आरोपी रिपुदमन सिंह मलिक की कनाडा में गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई है. शुक्रवार सुबह साढ़े 9 बजे गोलियां चलने की आवाज आई थी. तब एक गोली रिपुदमन सिंह मलिक को भी लगी थी और उन्होंने मौके पर ही दम तोड़ दिया.

1985 के बम धमाके में रिपुदमन सिंह मलिक का नाम सामने आया था, लेकिन बाद में 2005 में उन्हें उस मामले में बरी कर दिया गया. कई सालों तक उन पर खालिस्तानी होने के आरोप लगते रहे. लेकिन फिर उस घटना के 20 साल बाद कोर्ट ने उन्हें और उनके साथियों को बरी कर दिया और उन्हें निर्दोष पाया गया.

साल 1985 में 23 जून को एयर इंडिया फ्लाइट कनिष्क-182 कनाडा के टोरंटो से दिल्ली के लिए उड़ान भरने वाली थी. विमान टोरंटो से रवाना तो हुआ, लेकिन यूरोप की सीमा में घुसते ही कुछ देर बाद 329 यात्रियों से भरे इस विमान में जोरदार धमाका हुआ. उस समय विमान करीब 31 हजार फीट की ऊंचाई में उड़ रहा था.
