देश के पांच राज्यों में हुए विधानसभा चुनाव (Assembly Election 2023) में जीत हासिल करने के बाद बीजेपी के 10 सांसदों ने अपना इस्तीफा लोकसभा अध्यक्ष ओम बिरला को सौंप दिया. जेपी नड्डा और प्रधानमंत्री के साथ बैठक के बाद यह फैसला हुआ. इस्तीफा देने वाले 10 सांसदों में 5 मध्य प्रदेश, 3 राजस्थान और 2 छत्तीसगढ़ से हैं. ये सांसद हैं नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर, प्रह्लाद सिंह पटेल, राकेश सिंह, उदय प्रताप और रीति पाठक - मध्य प्रदेश से; अरुण साव और गोमती साई - छत्तीसगढ़ से और राज्यवर्धन सिंह राठौड़, दीया कुमारी और किरोड़ी लाल मीना - राजस्थान से.
