Maldives President Election: मालदीव के राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में विपक्षी उम्मीदवार मोहम्मद मुइज को जीत हासिल हुई है. प्रोग्रेसिव पार्टी ऑफ मालदीव (पीपीएम) के उम्मीदवार मोहम्मद मुइज ने मौजूदा राष्ट्रपति इब्राहिम मोहम्मद सोलिह को इस चुनाव में शिकस्त दी है. मुइज वर्तमान में देश की राजधानी माले शहर के मेयर हैं. मुइज को राष्टपति चुनाव में जीत के लिए भारत की तरफ से प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने बधाई दी है. पीएम मोदी ने ट्वीटर पर बधाई संदेश में लिखा 'मालदीव के राष्ट्रपति के रूप में चुने जाने पर मुइज्जू को बधाई एवं शुभकामनाएं. भारत समय-परीक्षणित भारत-मालदीव द्विपक्षीय संबंधों को मजबूत करने और हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र में हमारे समग्र सहयोग को बढ़ाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है.'
