रामदास अठावले ने कहा कि "...हम एनडीए के साथी हैं इसलिए बीजेपी को समर्थन देना अच्छा रहेगा. इसलिए मध्य प्रदेश की सभी 229 सीटों पर हम कोई उम्मीदवार न उतारकर बीजेपी का समर्थन कर रहे हैं. हमारा मानना है कि मध्य प्रदेश में प्रदेश भाजपा चुनी जाएगी...छत्तीसगढ़ में, हमने तय किया है कि सभी 90 सीटों पर हम भाजपा का समर्थन कर रहे हैं... लेकिन अन्य दो राज्यों तेलंगाना और राजस्थान में, हम 15-20 सीटों पर लड़ेंगे...''
