Birbhum Violence: भारतीय युवा कांग्रेस (Indian Youth Congress) ने बीरभूम हिंसा की स्वतंत्र जांच की मांग करते हुए मानवाधिकारों के कथित उल्लंघन के खिलाफ राष्ट्रीय मानवाधिकार आयोग (NHRC) का रुख किया है. बीरभूम जिले के रामपुरहाट में कथित रूप से TMC के एक पंचायत नेता भादू शेख की हत्या कर दी गई. इसके बाद 21 मार्च को पूरे जिले में हिंसा भड़क गई थी. कहा जा रहा है कि कुछ लोगों की भीड़ ने आम लोगों के घरों में आग लगा दी, जिसमें 8 लोगों की मौत हो गई. मरने वालों में 3 महिलाएं और 2 बच्चे भी शामिल हैं. पुलिस का कहना है कि वो मामले की जांच में जुटी हुई है, हालांकि अभी तक मामले में 22 लोगों की गिरफ्तारी भी हो चुकी है.
