Gujarat’s New District ‘Vav-Tharad’: गुजरात सरकार ने राज्य में एक नया जिला बनाने का निर्णय लिया है. जानकरी के अनुसार, बनासकांठा जिले को विभाजित करके एक नया जिला 'वाव-ठाराद' (𝐕𝐚𝐯-𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝) बनाने को मंजूरी दी गई है. यह गुजरात का 34वां जिला होगा, जिसका मुख्यालय थराड में होगा. इसके अलावा, राज्य सरकार ने 9 नगरपालिकाओं को नगर निगम का दर्जा देने का भी प्रस्ताव मंजूर किया है. इनमें नवसारी, वापी, आनंद, नदियाद, मेहसाणा, सुरेन्द्रनगर, मोरबी, पोरबंदर और गांधीधाम शामिल हैं. इसके साथ ही अब राज्य में कुल 17 नगर निगम और 149 नगरपालिकाएं हो जाएंगी. यह कदम गुजरात के प्रशासनिक ढांचे को और मजबूत बनाने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण है.
