EC Action On Tripura Violence: निर्वाचन आयोग ने त्रिपुरा के मुख्य निर्वाचक अधिकारी किरण गिट्टे को भारतीय जनता पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं  के मार्क्सवादी कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी और कांग्रेस पर हाल में की गई राजनीतिक हिंसा की जांच रिपोर्ट शुक्रवार तक सौंपने का आदेश दिया है.

जिरानिया में AICC के राज्य प्रभारी पर कथित तौर पर हमला किया गया, जिसके बाद अधिकारियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की गई है. एसडीपीओ जिरानिया सब-डिवीजन को निलंबित कर दिया गया है. रानीबाजार थाने के प्रभारी अधिकारी को तत्काल हटा दिया गया है. साथ ही प्रभारी अधिकारी के खिलाफ भी एक्शन लिया गया है.

त्रिपुरा में चुनाव की घोषणा के बाद  हिंसा की घटना देखने को मिली थी.  सूत्रों के मुताबिक कांग्रेस ने जिरानिया से गुजरने की कोशिश करने वाली मोटर बाइक रैली के लिए कोई अनुमति नहीं ली थी. इसके अलावा, एक और आरोप है कि बड़े पैमाने पर हिंसा शुरू होने से पहले कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं ने भाजपा के सड़क किनारे पार्टी कार्यालय में तोड़फोड़ की थी.
