2014 में आज ही के दिन इसरो द्वारा विकसित भारत का मार्स ऑर्बिटर स्पेसक्राफ्ट (मंगलयान) मंगल ग्रह की कक्षा में सफलतापूर्वक प्रवेश कर गया था. मंगलयान को 5 नवंबर 2013 को भारत के पीएसएलवी (PSLV) से लॉन्च किया गया था. इस सफलता के साथ ही इसरो मंगल की कक्षा में सफलतापूर्वक अंतरिक्ष यान भेजने वाली दुनिया की चौथी अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी बन गई थी.
