इजरायल के ऊर्जा मंत्री का कहना है कि तुर्किए के राष्ट्रपति एर्दोगन ने 'हमास के आतंक का समर्थन करने वाले मुस्लिम ब्रदरहुड के व्यक्ति' के रूप में 'अपना असली चेहरा' दिखा दिया है. वहीं संयुक्त राष्ट्र में इजराइल के राजदूत ने एर्दोगन को लेकर कहा, 'सांप तो सांप ही रहेगा' और तुर्की के राष्ट्रपति पर 'विरोधी बने रहने' का आरोप लगाया.

तुर्किये के राष्ट्रपति रेसेप तईप एर्दोगन ने इजरायल द्वारा किए जा रहे गाजा पट्टी में हमलों को पागलपन करार दिया और इसे तुरंत रोकने का आह्वान किया. पिछले कुछ दिनों में इजरायली बलों ने फिलिस्तीनी क्षेत्र पर हमले तेज कर दिए हैं. इजरायल ने एक विस्तारित जमीनी अभियान की घोषणा की और इसने संचार व्यवस्था को ठप कर दिया और गाजा पट्टी में सूचनाओं का लगभग ब्लैकआउट कर दिया है.
