रविवार को काबुल हवाईअड्डे पर रॉकेट दागे जाने के बाद कुछ बच्चों समेत दस लोगों की मौत हो गई. बताया जा रहा है कि रॉकेट लक्ष्य को भेदने में विफल रहा और आम नागरिक मारे गए. पुलिस डिस्ट्रिक्ट 15 में आबादी वाले रिहायशी इलाके ख्वाजा बुघरा में रॉकेट ने एक घर को टक्कर मार दी, जिसमें वयस्कों समेत चार बच्चों की भी मौत हुई. गुरुवार को, इस्लामिक स्टेट समूह के एक स्थानीय सहयोगी आईएसआईएस-के द्वारा दावा किए गए एक घातक आत्मघाती बम विस्फोट और बंदूक की गोलीबारी में काबुल हवाई अड्डे के पूर्वी द्वार पर 170 अफगान और 13 अमेरिकी सैनिकों की मौत हो गई और लगभग 200 अन्य घायल हो गए.
