विधायी निकायों के पीठासीन अधिकारियों के 84वें सम्मेलन के समापन समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए लोकसभा अध्यक्ष ओम बिरला ने कहा, ''हम विधायी कार्यों में दक्षता लाने का प्रयास कर रहे हैं. हम यह सुनिश्चित करने का प्रयास करेंगे कि कानून पारित करने से पहले उचित चर्चा की जाए, बेहतर कानून लागू किए जाएं, कठोर या अनावश्यक कानूनों को निरस्त किया जाए और एक राष्ट्र एक चुनाव के लक्ष्य तक पहुंचा जाए.' सम्मेलन सोमवार, 29 जनवरी, 2024 को महाराष्ट्र के मुंबई में आयोजित किया गया था.
