सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया के सीईओ अदार पूनावाला ने बुधवार को ट्वीट कर कहा कि कंपनी की तरफ से एक परोपकारी भाव के तौर पर, मैं राज्यों के लिए प्रति डोज की कीमत 400 रुपये से घटाकर 300 रुपये करता हूं. यह तत्काल प्रभाव से लागू होगा. इससे राज्य को आगे बढ़ने वाले हजारों करोड़ रुपये की बचत होगी. इससे अधिक टीकाकरण हो सकेगा और अनगिनत जीवन बचेंगे.

As a philanthropic gesture on behalf of @SerumInstIndia, I hereby reduce the price to the states from Rs.400 to Rs.300 per dose, effective immediately; this will save thousands of crores of state funds going forward. This will enable more vaccinations and save countless lives.
