पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी से मुलाकात पर भारतीय किसान यूनियन के राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता राकेश टिकैत ने कहा "मैं मुख्यमंत्री से मिला, क्या मैं अफगानिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति से मिला कि भारत सरकार से अनुमति लेनी पड़ेगी. देश के अंदर मुख्यमंत्री से मिलने के लिए वीजा लगता है?". उन्होंने कहा कि देश में विपक्ष कमजोर है और इसलिए किसानों को आज सड़क पर बैठना पड़ा है.
