ओडिशा के मयूरभज में रहने वाली लक्ष्मी जेना नाम की एक महिला श्मशान घाट के अंदर अपने पति और बच्चों के साथ रहती है. श्मशान घाट में रहने के दौरान उसने एक दो नहीं बल्कि पिछले 14 साल में 40,000 से अधिक शवों का अंतिम संस्कार किया है.
ओडिशा के मयूरभज में रहने वाली लक्ष्मी जेना नाम की एक महिला श्मशान घाट के अंदर अपने पति और बच्चों के साथ रहती है. श्मशान घाट में रहने के दौरान उसने एक दो नहीं बल्कि पिछले 14 साल में 40,000 से अधिक शवों का अंतिम संस्कार किया है. महिला के बारे में मयूरभंज नगर पालिका के अध्यक्ष कृष्णानंद मोहंती ने बताया कि पहले लक्ष्मी जेना के पति अंतिम संस्कार करते थे. लेकिन लक्ष्मी जेना की तबियत खराब रहने की वजह से वे इस काम को अब नहीं कर पा रहे है. ऐसे में लक्ष्मी जेना इस अब इस काम को कर रही है.
