मध्य प्रदेश हाईकोर्ट ने केंद्र सरकार को सलाह दी है कि वह इंटरनेट के युग में आपसी सहमति से बनने वाले संबंधों की उम्र 18 साल से 16 साल करने पर पुनर्विचार करे ताकि युवाओं के साथ कोई अन्याय जैसी बात नहीं हो.
Madhya Pradesh High Court On Age of Consent in India: मध्य प्रदेश हाईकोर्ट ने केंद्र सरकार को सलाह दी है कि वह इंटरनेट के युग में किशोरों में उम्र से पहले आई वयस्कता को देखते हुए आपसी सहमति से बनने वाले संबंधों की उम्र 18 साल से 16 साल करने पर पुनर्विचार करे ताकि युवाओं के साथ कोई अन्याय जैसी बात नहीं हो. आपको बता दें कि दिल्ली में हुए निर्भया कांड के बाद आपसी सहमति से संबंध बनाने की उम्र को 16 से बढ़ाकर 18 साल किया गया था.
हाईकोर्ट ने कहा 'कई किशोर और 18 से साल से कम उम्र की लड़की से यौन संबंध बना लेते हैं. इसके बाद पुलिस उनके खिलाफ पॉस्को एक्ट और बलात्कार जैसी आईपीसी की संगीन धाराओं में मुकदमा दर्ज करती है. विपरीत सेक्स के आकर्षण के चलते बनाए गए संबंधों में लड़कों को दोषी मान लिया जाता है, जबकि वे नासमझी में यह कृत्य करते हैं. इस कारण कई किशोर अन्याय से पीड़ित हो जाते हैं.
