उत्तर प्रदेश के मुजफ्फरनगर जिले की एक अदालत ने 2013 के मुजफ्फरनगर दंगों के दौरान एक महिला से सामूहिक बलात्कार के मामले में 2 आरोपियों को आईपीसी की धारा 376(2)(जी), 376-डी और 506 के तहत दोषी ठहराया है. एक अन्य आरोपी की सुनवाई के दौरान मौत हो गई. सजा का ऐलान जल्द ही होने की संभावना है. पीड़िता उन 7 महिलाओं में शामिल थी, जिन्होंने आरोप लगाया था कि 2013 के दंगों के दौरान उनके साथ बलात्कार किया गया था. लेकिन, धमकियों के बीच, 6 महिलाओं ने अपने मामले को आगे नहीं बढ़ाने का फैसला किया.
