दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने सोमवार को फैसला सुनाया कि किसी महिला को 'गंदी औरत' कहना या उसके साथ अभद्र व्यवहार करना भारतीय दंड संहिता (IPC) की धारा 509 के तहत शील का अपमान करने का अपराध नहीं माना जाएगा.
दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने सोमवार को फैसला सुनाया कि किसी महिला को 'गंदी औरत' कहना या उसके साथ अभद्र व्यवहार करना भारतीय दंड संहिता (IPC) की धारा 509 के तहत शील का अपमान करने का अपराध नहीं माना जाएगा. जस्टिस स्वर्ण कांता शर्मा ने कहा कि 'गंदी औरत' शब्द को बिना किसी संदर्भ के, बिना किसी पूर्ववर्ती या बाद के शब्दों के अलग-अलग पढ़ा जाए, जो किसी महिला की गरिमा को ठेस पहुंचाने के इरादे को दर्शाता हो, इन शब्दों को आईपीसी की धारा 509 के दायरे में नहीं लाएगा.
