बिहार के कटिहार जिले में बिजली विभाग के खिलाफ सड़क जाम करके प्रदर्शन कर रहे एक व्यक्ति की पुलिस फायरिंग में मौत हो गई, जबकि दो लोग गंभीर रूप से घायल है. मृतक का नाम बासल गांव निवासी खुर्शीद आलम है.

बारसोई अनुमंडल में बुधवार दोपहर बिजली विभाग के खिलाफ कई लोग बिजली दफ्तर का घेराव करने पहुंचे थे. प्राणपुर के बस्तौल चौक और बारसोई प्रखंड मुख्यालय का मेन रोड जाम करके लोगों ने प्रदर्शन किया. इस दौरान भीड़ को नियंत्रित करने के लिए पुलिस ने गोली चला दी.
