आरोपी थॉम्पसन और मृतक गोंजालेज के बीच घटना उस दिन हुई जब महिला कोलोराडो में गर्भपात कराकर लौटी थी. पुलिस ने कहा कि पार्किंग के CCTV में पूरी घटना कैद हुई है. आरोपी ने महिला को कई बार गोली मारी और फिर घटनास्थल से भाग गया.
