Diwali Declared As National Holiday in Pennsylvania: अमेरिका के पेन्सिलवेनिया में दिवाली को नेशनल हॉलिडे घोषित किया गया है. सीनेटर निकिल सावल (Nikil Saval) ने बुधवार (26 अप्रैल) को ट्वीट कर इसकी जानकारी दी.

उन्होंने कहा "यूनाइटेड स्टेट्स पेन्सिलवेनिया ने हिंदू त्योहार दिवाली को नेशनल हॉलिडे घोषित कर दिया है. पेन्सिलवेनिया स्टेट के सीनेट सर्वसम्मति से दिवाली को  राष्ट्रीय अवकाश के रूप में मान्यता देने के लिए वोट किया." सीनेटर निकिल सावल ने कहा "दिवाली मनाने वाले सभी पेंसिल्वेनिया वासियों का स्वागत करते हैं. आप हमारे लिए मायने रखते है.

पेंसिल्वेनिया स्टेट में 2 लाख से ज्यादा दक्षिण एशियाई लोग रहते है. इन सबमें दिवाली का पर्व का बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण माना जाता है. 34वें सेनेटोरियल डिस्ट्रिक्ट के कई निवासियों सहित हजारों पेंसिल्वेनिया निवासी हर साल दिवाली मनाते हैं.
