कर्नाटक बीजेपी अध्यक्ष नलिनकुमार कटील ने कहा, 'हम भगवान राम और हनुमान के भक्त हैं. हम टीपू के वंशज नहीं हैं, हमने उनके वंशजों को वापस भेज दिया. तो मैं येलबुर्गा के लोगों से पूछता हूं, क्या आप हनुमान की पूजा करते हैं या टीपू के भजन गाते हैं? क्या आप टीपू के भजन गाने वाले लोगों को भगाएंगे?:
