भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग ने बताया कि भीषण चक्रवाती तूफान यास बालासोर (ओडिशा) से लगभग 50 किमी दक्षिण-दक्षिण पूर्व में केंद्रित। लैंडफॉल की प्रक्रिया सुबह लगभग 9 बजे शुरू हुई. भद्रक ज़िले के धामरा में तेज हवाओं के साथ बारिश हो रही है. जबकि पश्चिम बंगाल के पूर्वी मिदनापुर में न्यू दीघा सी बीच के रिहायशी इलाकों में समुद्र का पानी घुस गया.
