उत्तर प्रदेश में शराब उपभोक्ता विदेशी ब्रांड की ओर अधिक आकर्षित हो रहे हैं. चालू वित्त वर्ष के दौरान राज्य में पंजीकृत शराब ब्रांड की कुल संख्या 3,854 हो गई है जो अब तक सबसे अधिक है.
उत्तर प्रदेश में शराब उपभोक्ता विदेशी ब्रांड की ओर अधिक आकर्षित हो रहे हैं. चालू वित्त वर्ष के दौरान राज्य में पंजीकृत शराब ब्रांड की कुल संख्या 3,854 हो गई है जो अब तक सबसे अधिक है. एक सरकारी प्रवक्ता के अनुसार, पिछले वित्तीय वर्ष में 3,106 विभिन्न अल्कोहल उत्पाद पंजीकृत किए गए थे. स्थानीय प्रीमियम ब्रांड को कड़ी प्रतिस्पर्धा का सामना करना पड़ रहा है क्योंकि विदेशी शराब ब्रांड खुदरा क्षेत्र में अपनी पैठ बना रहे हैं. उत्तर प्रदेश में उपलब्ध आयातित विदेशी शराब ब्रांडों (व्हिस्की, वोदका, रम और जिन) की संख्या पिछले वित्तीय वर्ष में 199 से बढ़कर इस बार 573 हो गई है.
