महाराष्ट्र सरकार के मंत्रिमंडल ने अहमदनगर जिले का नाम बदलकर अहिल्या नगर करने का फैसला किया है.
महाराष्ट्र सरकार के मंत्रिमंडल ने अहमदनगर जिले का नाम बदलकर अहिल्या नगर करने का फैसला किया है. गौरतलब है कि शिंदे-फडणवीस सरकार ने इससे पहले औरंगाबाद का नाम बदलकर छत्रपति संभाजी नगर और उस्मानाबाद का नाम धाराशिव करने का फैसला किया था.
उप मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने कहा- हमारे नेता गोपीचंद पडलकर और रामभाऊ शिंदे ने मांग की कि अहमदनगर का नाम बदलकर अहिल्या नगर कर दिया जाए. सभी की भावनाओं का सम्मान करते हुए, राज्य सरकार ने अहमदनगर का नाम बदलकर अहिल्यादेवी होल्कर नगर करने का फैसला किया है."
