लोकसभा चुनाव के तीसरे चरण की वोटिंग से पहले निर्वाचन आयोग ने आंध्र प्रदेश के DGP वी राजेंद्रनाथ रेड्डी को तत्काल प्रभाव से तबादला कर दिया है. सूत्रों के मुताबिक चुनाव आयोग ने राज्य सरकार को 6 मई, 2024 तक डीजीपी पद के लिए डीजी रैंक के तीन अधिकारियों का एक पैनल प्रस्तुत करने का निर्देश दिया है
Lok Sabha Elections 2024: लोकसभा चुनाव के तीसरे चरण की वोटिंग से पहले निर्वाचन आयोग ने आंध्र प्रदेश के DGP वी राजेंद्रनाथ रेड्डी को तत्काल प्रभाव से तबादला कर दिया है. सूत्रों के मुताबिक चुनाव आयोग ने राज्य सरकार को 6 मई, 2024 तक डीजीपी पद के लिए डीजी रैंक के तीन अधिकारियों का एक पैनल प्रस्तुत करने का निर्देश दिया है. आयोग ने मुख्य सचिव को यह भी निर्देश दिया है कि डीजीपी राजेंद्रनाथ रेड्डी को चुनाव से संबंधित कोई ड्यूटी नहीं दी जाए. दरअसल, विपक्ष ने EC से शिकायत की थी कि डीजीपी और कई अन्य अधिकारी राज्य में सत्तारूढ़ वाईएसआर कांग्रेस पार्टी का सहयोग कर रहे हैं.
