महाराष्ट्र की आशा कार्यकर्ता वेतनवृद्धि की मांग को लेकर अनिश्चितकालीन हड़ताल पर चली गई हैं. उनका कहना है कि राज्य में 70,000 आशा कार्यकर्ता हैं. सरकार उन्हें रीढ़ की हड्डी मानती है लेकिन उनका वेतनमान नहीं बढ़ा रही हैं. उनकी मांग है कि सरकार उनके वेतन में वृद्धि करने के साथ ही उन्हें मेडिकल सुविधा मुहैया कराये.
